Avril Lavigne - biografia

Η Avril είναι το μεσαίο και το πιο ατίθασο παιδί της μικροαστικής οικογενείας Lavigne και γεννήθηκε στον Καναδά στις 27 Σεπτεμβρίου του 1984. Από πολύ μικρή ήθελε να γίνει τραγουδίστρια και να προσελκύει τα βλέμματα πάνω της. Και, πράγματι, όταν τραγουδούσε, όλοι την πρόσεχαν. Ήταν ένα αγοροκόριτσο, ατίθασο στο σχολείο, αλλά και στο σπίτι. Δεν της άρεσε να παρακολουθεί τα μαθήματα και προτιμούσε να μένει σπίτι και να συνθέτει τραγούδια. Το πρώτο της τραγούδι το έγραψε όταν ήταν 12 χρονών. Σε εκείνη την ηλικία άρχισε επίσης να μαθαίνει μόνη της κιθάρα. Στα 17 της έκανε την επανάστασή της, επιβάλλοντας τους δικούς της όρους: ντυνόταν και συμπεριφερόταν όπως εκείνη ήθελε, χωρίς να σκέφτεται τη γνώμη των άλλων.
Ξεκίνησε το τραγούδι ερμηνεύοντας country επιτυχίες σε διάφορα φεστιβάλ. Κέρδισε το πρώτο βραβείο σε ένα διαγωνισμό ταλέντων, σε πολύ μικρή ηλικία. Κατά τη διάρκεια ενός ταξιδιού της στη Νέα Υόρκη, προκάλεσε την προσοχή του Antonio "LA" Reid, ο οποίος αμέσως της πρότεινε συμβόλαιο με την Arista Records. Συνεργάστηκε με πολλούς ταλαντούχους ανθρώπους που είχαν να της προσφέρουν σημαντικές εμπειρίες. Εκείνη όμως ήθελε να δημιουργήσει τη δική της μουσική και η ευκαιρία αυτή της δόθηκε στο Los Angeles. Εκεί συνάντησε τον συνθέτη και παραγωγό Cliff Magness που την άφησε να κάνει αυτό που πραγματικά ήθελε.
Η Avril ήταν 16 χρονών όταν άρχισε να ηχογραφεί την πρώτη της δισκογραφική δουλειά. Το ντεμπούτο της άλμπουμ είχε τον τίτλο “Let Go” και κυκλοφόρησε το καλοκαίρι του 2002. Ο πρώτος της δίσκος είναι ένα κομμάτι του εαυτού της. Μέσα από το άλμπουμ αυτό κατάφερε να πραγματοποιήσει το μεγάλο της όνειρό. Η Avril Lavigne έγινε γνωστή με το πρώτο της κιόλας single, Complicated, που μιλά για τη ζωή και τις ανθρώπινες σχέσεις. Ενα από τα αγαπημένα της τραγούδια είναι το “Losing Grip” που μιλά για μια εμπειρία που έζησε με έναν πρώην φίλο της. Οι περιοδείες την κάνουν να αισθάνεται άνετα γιατί μοιράζεται με το κοινό τις εμπειρίες και τα τραγούδια της.
Για την Avril το τραγούδι και η κιθάρα είναι το φάρμακό της, ειδικά τις μέρες που έχει τις μαύρες της. Ο ατίθασος χαρακτήρας της την έκανε να έχει περισσότερους φίλους παρά φίλες, ωστόσο τα τραγούδια της αγγίζουν αγόρια και κορίτσια, μικρούς και μεγάλους. Η μουσική της είναι αληθινή, τίμια και ειλικρινής και, όπως λέει η ίδια, πηγάζει κατευθείαν από την καρδιά της. Πολλοί μάλιστα τη συγκρίνουν με την Alanis Morissette.
Όταν φωτογραφίζεται στα περιοδικά προτιμά να φορά δικά της ρούχα γιατί θέλει να έχει το δικό της στυλ. Καθετί το συνηθισμένο την κάνει να βαριέται. Τα καλοκαίρια παίζει baseball, το φθινόπωρο και το χειμώνα hockey. Χόμπι της, το skateboard και το κυνήγι.
